Local club ‘G72 Tri‘ has 5 athletes competing in the age group European championship at Strathclyde Park for Team GB.
Two of the five men are from Blantyre, Martin Jones and David Duffy. The others live locally within South Lanarkshire.
Martin Jones told us, “This is a wonderful achievement for us as individuals and also for the club. The club is relatively new and with 5 athletes competing in 5 different age categories it shows how diverse the club is.”
The race will take place at Strathclyde Country Park on 11th August 2018 at 8am and is free to spectate. We wish the men all the very best and hope lots of people come out to support them.
