An alert goes out following suspicious activity from a male ‘workman’ calling at people’s houses.
A male has been going about this week, door to door claiming to be a “government official”, telling people that they could get a free boiler. He’s suited and booted, with “ID” too, but after suspicious activity was observed by several people, police became involved.
One concerned resident told us, “The police were in the Crescents area yesterday [Wednesday 3rd October 2018] looking for him. I don’t know if they got him but this chancer will be doing the rounds until he gets an unsuspecting or vulnerable person.”
Please be cautious about this individual if he comes to your door, don’t let him in and remember you can always call police if you have suspicions about ANY bogus callers.
