Doing the rounds
We’ve received a report of a scam Lottery letter “doing the rounds” locally.
People have been contacted by post from the made up “European Health Lottery” claiming they’ve been chosen to win a large sum of money. Please rip these letters up, bin them, don’t phone or contact them! It’s a scam.
Remember, if you’re not playing a particular lottery, it would be most difficult or impossible for you to win anything. If its too good to be true, it usually is! Furthermore, most lotteries rely on YOU to contact them, rather than the other way about if you win.
Please be mindful of such letters and look out for any vulnerable family, colleagues or neighbours who may be wondering what such a letter is all about.
