If you’ve been out walking along the riverbank at the Clyde this week, you may have spotted a remarkable visitor to the area!
This seal has been seen swimming in the River Clyde and playing on the riverside, a rare sight indeed being so far “inland!”
The animal must have navigated at least 2 different weirs , swimming for its entire journey up stream against the current, most likely in search of fish.
The seal has been seen in the water and out seemingly comfortable and in no distress. Looking healthy enough, we hope it will remember the way back once its great adventure is complete!
