It’s blowing a “hoolie” out there. Gusts of up to 80mph are expected to cause power cuts and travel chaos as weather warnings have been issued across Scotland today Monday 7th January 2019.
A yellow warning has been issued for parts of Scotland, starting from noon today until 3pm on Tuesday with high winds forecast. The Forth Road bridge is currently operating on a 40mph speed limits due to the high winds.
Network Rail has already warned how the high winds could lead to speed restrictions on trains. Temperatures are also expected to dip over the coming days, before rising again for the weekend.
