A prowler was disturbed last night snooping around homes in the Village, Blantyre.
Around 9pm on the evening of Thursday 17 January 2019, a man was seen trying to gain entry illegally into houses in Viewfield Avenue. He was observed by a passing dog walker trying door handles.
The dog walker informed people nearby in the Village Bar on Station Road and police were shortly called for.
The thief was seen then making off down the garden under cover of darkness towards Ness Drive. He is described as male and around 6 foot tall. This follows a similar incident last week where a man of similar description entered a home at nearby Wallace Place.
A reminder to ideally keep doors locked in the evenings, even if you’re at home.
