£1000 Reward offered by family who just want their ‘Angel’ back home.
A Cambuslang family whose pet dog went missing 10 weeks ago are still clinging onto hope that she will be back home with them soon.
Angel, a dark chocolate female Patterdale terrier was wearing a red collar when she went missing on Monday the 3rd of December whilst out on a routine walk with Zeus, the family’s other pet dog. Angel was last seen in a field between the River Clyde and a cluster of new houses at Newton G72 Cambuslang, Glasgow and despite a thorough search of the area with drones, thermal cameras and tracker dogs, there has been no sign of the dog. There is growing worry amongst the family that their pet may have been stolen and they are desperate for someone to hand her in.
A Facebook page has been set up to help bring Angel home and her owner, 19 year-old Zoe Letham, has put up more than 800 posters in her search for her beloved friend.
Angel’s disappearance has left her family totally numb and heartbroken. Zoe said: “Angel is such a special dog to our family as she was born on the same day we said goodbye to my great gran. When Angel came into our lives, she lifted our spirits so much and helped us to deal with our loss. My other two dogs Zeus and Saint are really depressed since she disappeared, they have gone off their food, they cry constantly, they are heartbroken too. We just want our Angel back home to where she belongs”. Zoe’s dad who was walking Angel on the day she went missing says “It’s a sad day when you take your dog for a walk and you don’t bring it home because someone has probably stolen it. I feel responsible for Angel’s disappearance but my daughter doesn’t blame me, but it’s hard”.
A reward of £1000 is being offered to anyone who has information that will lead to the safe return of Angel to where she belongs. With the family now fearing that their pet may have been stolen they are urgently appealing to anyone who might know the whereabouts of Angel to contact Lost Dogs Glasgow by emailing lostdogsglasgow@outlook.com or contact 101 with any information. All communication will be treated in the strictest confidence.
