Local lady Susan Dorricott is raising money to help with quality of life of a family member.
She told us, “My beautiful mother, a retiree had a very happy active life, until one day in September 2017, when she suffered a massive stroke, which hugely reduced her quality of life.”
“She has been left with very limited communication skills and confined to her bed. With other health problems, we nearly lost her a total of 5 times last year.”
Susan has started a fundraising page to help raise money for a special bed, which will help with her mother’s mobility. The bed she has set her sights on, as pictured below, however is not cheap.
Susan continued, “My mother is an inspiration and deserves this bed to help her mobility and hopefully help her to her feet again. I want to help my mother have a better quality of life and I will be doing activities throughout this year to help raise funds.”
