Blantyre’s Cemeteries are looking tidier today, Monday 29 April 2019, thanks to South Lanarkshire Council maintenance crews.
Council workers have been out tidying up the cemeteries at High Blantyre and at Priestfield. The paths have been edged, removing overgrown weeds and grass. Pictured on the right is a side still to be done, on the left, a finished edge.
Gareth Rodger, one of the workers told us, “We’re working in High Blantyre and Priestfield. I’m from Blantyre and glad to be involved in making the cemeteries look better.”
