The light nights have likely assisted a marked decrease in the frequency of breakins being highlighted to us. However, there was a disappointing return to breakins and theft last night when several cars were targeted in Moorfield Avenue, (just off Burnbrae Road), High Blantyre.
Sometime overnight Monday 27th going into the early hours of Tuesday 28th May 2019, two cars were broken into via their doors. No windows were smashed in the thefts.
Police were called. Concerned residents have asked us to highlight the breakins and to remain vigilant, in case the thieves next move on to other areas.
