Local lady Marisha Traider has been selected to go to Malawi for 8 weeks as part of her final year at University of Strathclyde.
Whilst this is a great opportunity, it unfortunately is self funded and she’s come up with a great idea. Trisha is selling raffle tickets. 200 on public sale and 200 for her work colleagues. Tickets are £10.00 each and once the 200 are sold a winner will be drawn out and win £1,000.
The draw will be uploaded live on Facebook and will take place once the 200 tickets have been sold. If they all fail to sell, she will hold the draw on 25th July and the money that has been raised will be halved between Malawi and the raffle ticket holder.
Her trip is on 7th October – 2nd December and payments can be made via PayPal or bank transfer. Each person that buys the ticket will receive a picture of their ticket number and must provide full name and contact number.
