Staff at Blantyre’s Calderside Nursery School were shocked and angry to discover that vandals had broken into the grounds and burned down the kids playhouse.
The discovery was made this morning, Thursday 4th July 2019 at Boswell Drive. The children had made the fun house out of donated wooden pallets and integrated them with other play equipment.
Police were alerted and are looking for the callous individuals who did this. Sadly, it’s not the first time the nursery has been affected by vandalism. It begs the question. What kind of childish, low character wants to burn down children’s play equipment? A new, shameful low.
Blantyre Telegraph has pledged £100 donation to help buy new equipment and assist with the cleanup.
