Become a Scotmid Co-operative Member and support The Haven in their bid to turn 5k into 15k
The Haven, a registered charity which provides support to people affected by a range of life limiting illness and to their family members and carers and supports people across the whole of North and South Lanarkshire through its centres in Blantyre, Wishaw and Forth is appealing to the local community for support in their bid to be awarded £15,000.
The Haven has been successfully shortlisted for Scotmid’s Community Connect Awards which are available to good cause groups and projects across Scotland.
Guaranteed an award of £5000 after their short-listing success, The Haven is appealing for individuals to become Scotmid Members and support their activity to collect as many votes as possible, with the aspiration of being the winner of the top award of £15,000.
By paying just £1 to become a Scotmid Member you will directly be able to make a difference to families affected by life limiting illness in this local community simply by shopping.
Community Connect is a simple scheme to engage with, every time a Scotmid Co-operative member shops in a Scotmid Food store they can scan their Community Connect Card to receive one Community Connect vote.
Members then collect votes and between the 8thSeptember and 22ndSeptember have the opportunity to cast their votes to allocate awards of up to £15,000 to three good cause groups.
The Haven are appealing for the local community to get behind the scheme and vote for The Haven.
As a member you not only will be supporting your local charity The Haven but you will also benefit from money off vouchers and may be a lucky winner of an ‘Instant Win’ voucher just by shopping and using your Community Connect card.
