With roadworks now complete at Douglas Street, the new traffic lights at the junction next to the sliproad are now switched on.
Please take care at this new road layout which includes pedestrian crossings, new islands and of particular change a new lane at Douglas Street turning left on to the eastbound sliproad. Additionally, the two previous lanes coming off the Expressway westbound are now reconstructed and painted as 3 lanes heading down to the roundabout.
The extensive roadworks by MacClay Civil Engineering Ltd commenced in early April, designed to significantly improve safety around the junctions, sliproads and nearby roundabout.
