A vehicle accident this evening has closed off Calder Road at Blantyreferme.
Sometime after 10.00pm tonight, Saturday 14th September, a car came off the road, flipped on to its roof at the sharp bend leading from Calder Road on to Westburn Road (the road to Newton). Emergency services, police and ambulances are in attendance.
As of 10.30pm, police have closed off the road at either end of Calder Road. The accident is just down from the farmhouse. We hope everybody involved is ok and would ask people to avoid the area meantime.
