St Blane’s said a big goodbye to their janitor, Alex Rankin, who retired earlier today Friday 13 December .
Alex has been a janitor for South Lanarkshire Council for 37 years and has been the janitor in St Blane’s for the last 27 of those years! The staff and children gave him a well deserved send off today at a special assembly.
Alex will now have more time to spend enjoying his golf. Although he’s retiring from his janitor job, he won’t be a stranger to the staff and pupils . He intends to continue helping the children look after and grow plants in their school garden.
All of the St Blane’s community wish him a happy retirement!
