Well done to Terminal One. We were astonished last Sunday when we dropped into the Youth Centre at Logan Street to see SO MUCH kindness and festive activity!
Hundreds of toys, food and sweets were handed in by the general public and organisations to give the young people at Terminal One a wonderful Christmas.
Joanne Tierney, BYDT Projects Coordinator told us, “An army of 18 helpers carefully wrapped the presents, not just for the young people who attend the centre, but also to assist several families who live locally. Donations will be distributed to young people and families in Blantyre, Hillhouse and Burnbank.”
Suitably impressed with the whole operation, we topped up the gifts with £50 of toys from Blantyre Telegraph.
Terminal One is a charitable organisation that provides youth diversionary services for young people age 8 – 21 years. Some of the young people live in areas of deprivation with many living in poverty. This contribution from the public was prioritised with that in mind.
Well done to everybody involved. Amazing!!
