What a start it’s been to 2020 for McGowans Blackbelt Academy!
On Sunday 9th of February their team was at the GMS championships and won 10 golds, 12 silvers and 19 bronzes and came second place in the over medals table!
Then on Saturday 29th February and Sunday 1st of March the team took to the mats again for the Scottish championships at Ravenscraig. Over the 2 days last weekend the McGowans’ team of 48 competitors amassed a fantastic medal haul of 8 golds, 14 silvers and 21 bronzes!!
Kieran McGowan told us, “We are incredibly proud of them and their achievements. They put so much hard work in between competitions and it really is paying off. Whether they win a medal or not, it’s about always giving your best and trying to improve. We see so much potential in our students and they have a bright future ahead!”
