We’re thrilled to announce that £802 has so far been raised in our ongoing campaign to raise funds towards a new Playpark for Blantyre!
The sum has been generously raised by many Blantyre Telegraph readers who either donated directly using the fundraiser link, or who has bought one of our Blantyre Telegraph magazines in recent weeks.
A reminder, we’re trying to raise £3,000 to donate to the David Livingstone Trust to help them get to their lofty target of raising £115,000 for the new, private playpark. This is not a council owned park and with no funds allocated from the museum renovation budget for any new park, the reality is that reliance on donations from businesses and individuals is the only way to make this possible.
A significant sum has already been raised, but your support is most welcome in order to ensure children in Blantyre have a wonderful park to play in for many generations. A great cause, we’re sure you’ll agree.
