Around 5 weeks ago, this robin chose a Blantyre hut to build its nest.
The bird nested in the outdoor building in a back garden in Strathmore Avenue in Coatshill and over the last few weeks the eggs hatched. The residents of the adjacent house took great delight in watching the chicks grow, being very careful around them, keeping their distance and letting the birds “do their thing”.
Today, Wednesday 27 May, the young robins have all flown the nest, leaving an empty hut and houseowners missing their little guests.
