Teenagers all over the country got their exam results today! About 138,000 Scottish students began receiving their results at 8am this morning and as with each year it brought delight for some and disappointment for others.
The pass rate for National 5 was 81.1%, while the Higher pass rate was 78.9% and the Advanced Higher rate was 84.9%.
This was a difficult year for young people and exams were not sat due to Covid. Instead, teachers graded pupils based on their previous work, something which has proven controversial for some people.
We hope all Blantyre’s young people got the results they wanted.
