Blantyre residents awoke this morning to the news that a Calderside Academy pupil has tested positive for Covid19.
As NHS Lanarkshire contact tracing team got underway, the news circulated by letter to parents and carers.
Dr Femi Oshin, of NHS Lanarkshire said: “Following the findings of a review today, there is no evidence currently to suggest that anyone has been infected from being in the school.
“The risk to the wider school community is low and the school will remain open as normal.”
The High School is the second school in Blantyre in recent weeks to have been affected by Covid positive test results.
