The Scottish Government will later today, outline new widespread restrictions designed to limit the spread of coronavirus in Scotland.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will make a live TV Broadcast at 8.05pm this evening, Tuesday 22nd September 2020 on BBC1 Scotland.
The public statement will immediately follow an announcement from UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson at 8.00pm.
There has been much speculation in the media about what type of measures will be imposed.
Downing Street confirmed on Monday night that Mr Johnson had spoken on the phone to the first ministers of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. They had all agreed to act “with a united approach, as much as possible, in the days and weeks ahead.“
Today’s announcement is shaping up to be something significant in the ongoing battle to limit the spread of coronavirus.
