Our October Fundraising

November is here, which means the totals are in for our October fundraising here at Blantyre Telegraph. What an incredible month it’s been! We’re delighted to announce a massive £3,137.65 was raised for Blantyre good causes!

Added to our overall fundraising total to date, it means Blantyre Telegraph (and its readers) have now raised a whopping £36,897 since the page started in 2011! It’s entirely been given to 217 local good causes, spreading a significant amount of cheer and community spirit along the way and not one penny was retained by us!

In October, donations came from our Just Giving Page, Blantyre Project, Advertising revenue from our main website and via very kind donations from individuals. Several great causes benefited.

£2,584 was donated to the new Blantyre Playpark, £267.65 was donated to Chase the Rainbow Blantyre, £136 to Hamilton Foodbank and £75 to Bonnie Blantyre to help buy some shrubs for around the Pit Memorial. A further £75 was used towards annual renewal of our main website domain and hosting.

Each organisation will be able to verify what was received. Our website has been updated with donation and award records, in the interests of full transparency here. https://theblantyretelegraph.com/raised/
