Blantyre got a mention in the House of Commons this week. The House congratulated the Logan Street Tenants and Residents Association in Blantyre on all their hard work to improve living conditions.
The item of congratulations, sponsored by our local MP was in recognition of the Association working with local agencies and South Lanarkshire Council. The volunteer group had many successes in what’s been a difficult year.
Accomplishments included reducing the amount of cars and working with the council to get better lighting. With events taking place at Halloween and other community socially distanced events for children, the Association made a REAL impact on the community this year.
