A number of changes have been announced today by the Scottish Government effective from midnight tonight. Amongst them were various decisions regarding places of worship, what should happen with funerals and weddings.
Places of worship must close during January with the exception of broadcasting a service, or conducting a funeral or wedding.
Whilst up to 20 people will still be able to attend funeral services, wakes will no longer be possible during January.
For weddings, the restrictions are just as tough. A maximum of just five people will be able to attend wedding and civil partnership services.
