Contractors started work this week to clear the former Columba Club Site.
The land near the junction of Blantyre Ferme Road and Carlowrie Avenue, Blantyre had been vacant for some time. Private developers have permission to erect 15 flats (3 storey block), 9 dwelling houses (semi detached and terraced) and to include the formation of access road, associated parking and landscaping.
Site clearance is underway with several trees and many large bushes already cleared.
