Some lockdown restrictions are easing from today, Friday 12th March 2021.
From today, up to four adults from two different households will now be allowed to meet outdoors including in garden for social and recreational purposes as well as usual daily exercise.
Until today, only two adults from two households had been permitted to meet up for essential exercise.
There are changes for groups of youths too. From today, up to four 12-17-year-olds from four different households can now also meet outdoors, signalling a return for many young people to being able to meet friends again.
Further restrictions considered for being lifted are being set out in a Scottish Government update next week.
