Work progresses this week fitting out the new Family Shopper at Glasgow Road, Blantyre.
Businessman, David Agnew who owns the cafe next door, recently took over the ownership fo the Londis Store and Post office on 22nd March 2021 and has expansion grand plans include renovating the shop into a brand new Family Shopper. Further plans will see the creation of a new, larger cafe inside at the back.
Work has already started in the back store room. A new office has now been built and a state of the art kitchen is getting built too. Following this, the Cafe/Bistro will be fitted out also. The Post Office will continue as normal.
Speaking to Blantyre Telegraph this week, David told us, “Family Shopper is coming soon. Banners are up and a few good buys are already in the store. We’re stocking a limited amount of alcohol until it’s all revamped.”
