Erin Wins the Simm Endeavour Award

Meet 11 year old Blantyre girl., Erin Berry! As the picture shows, Erin has every reason to be delighted and as proud as punch, for she recently won the Simm Endeavour Award at Auchinraith Primary School.

Erin was presented with this very special award at the leavers ceremony and has worked extremely hard in this last, difficult challenging year.

The bespoke annual award is offered by expat, Archie Simm, who quietly in the background and from another country, funds an endeavour award for the pupil at Auchinraith Primary School who is believed to have shown the most progress. It’s not all about grades, but about the work put in not just in the previous year but throughout all her time at primary school.

Leanna, Erin’s proud mother told us, “Archie sent a lovely letter which was such a surprise.” Within the letter, Archie wrote to Erin saying, “You are an inspiration to your peers and family. From my heart, i thank you for working so very hard.”

Erin and her family want to say thank to Archie for all his kindness and such a motivational gesture. Well done Erin! Kids have worked so hard through this pandemic, and for you to stand out in such an exemplary way, is truly fantastic!
