There’s a fantastic local group available to people offering support to those with dementia.
Volunter Iain McMillan told us, “I volunteer with the Sporting Network Foundation and we run a group in Livingstone Memorial Church, Glasgow Road, Blantyre on every second Wednesday.”
The group helps people with dementia and other things by talking mainly about sport. They support the families of people with this condition and others throughout the UK by giving them somewhere they can come and meet others. The support group sometimes has guest speakers and they have sport related topics/quizzes.
