Residents in Morag Avenue, Blantyre came together last week to raise funds for other local families who may need a little help at this time of year. Families and friends, people of all ages decided to raise some money for the community and one of their festive endeavours was the “Santa Hat Walk.”
Pauline Lennon told us, “Every year my family, close friends and I gather some money together to buy Asda vouchers. We then hand the vouchers into the local school for families who might need some extra help. This year we decided to get the kids involved. As well as running raffle prizes the children did a sponsored Santa Hat Walk ton Sunday 5th December. “
As pictured with permission, the kids did tremendously well on their sponsored walk, raising £300 from the walk alone.
