Friends of local Schoolgirl, Gemma Caffrey are doing a sponsored horse ride in her memory and to raise funds for Child Bereavement UK.
Gemma was a bright and popular S2 pupil at Calderside Academy when she sadly passed away in October last year at the young age of only 12. He death deeply shocked the community.
A charity horse ride is planned. Burnbank equestrian collectively as a team with their horses and ponies, will cover the 26.2 miles on 28th January 2020 in memory of Gemma. She found her love and passion for horses and rode with the Equestrian club often. Members will being along all of the ponies / horses including her favourite pony ‘Sparky’ to honour Gemma’s memory.
