High Blantyre now has a further, brand new defibrillator installed!
Located on Hamilton Road, just outside the Blantyre Old Parish Church, the life saving equipment is attached to the stone wall. This was a kind hearted legacy left to the church from one of their parishioners and in her memory, it was installed outside the church where it can be served for all the surrounding community. Importantly, the equipment is hooked up to an electrical circuit which will allow emergency services to direct callers to this location.
Considerable efforts have been made in the community recently for further defibrillators for Blantyre, notably by, but not limited to Barry Watt, Greenhall Cafe and the Westcraigs at Heart Group.
