Science of Navigation

April will see a fun packed full month of family events at the David Livingstone Birthplace, Blantyre, kicking off this weekend with the ‘Science of Navigation’.

Discover how people in Victorian times travelled all over the world, without google maps! In this object handling session led by the learning team, staff will have all sorts of weird and wonderful scientific instruments for you to pick up and play with. Join the fun on the 2nd floor of the museum exhibition to find out more, and let staff know what you would take on an adventure of your own…

This session is aimed at families with children aged 5 to 11.

This session is included in your museum admission cost. No need to book, just join the event on your way round!
