Congratulations are offered to local woman, Kay McMahon who is heading off to retirement.
Kay is head of Calderside Nursery in Blantyre and today, Thursday 26th May 2022 is her last day.
She started at Blantyre Nursery in Summer 1999. At that time she was “Acting head” and became a permanent head in 2000. She went on to manage Blantyre Nursery and Springwell Pre-5 centre before they both merged in the summer of 2006 to form the existing Calderside Nursery.
Throughout these years, Kay has been a positive influence on parents and families of the Blantyre Community and beyond. Her open door policy, always made herself available for advice.
The staff at Calderside are incredibly sad to be losing such a great colleague and inspirational manager. However, her vision and ethos will continue to be a big part of Calderside’s future.
Here’s wishing Kay all the very best today and beyond for a long , happy and relaxing retirement.
