School term is over and schools are now out for summer! South Lanarkshire Schools closed at 1pm today, Friday 24th June for just over 7 weeks.
The sun was shining in Blantyre today as Primary Schools held their own separate celebrations for their P7 pupils saying goodbye to their school for the last time. There were tears from some pupils at the gates as they said goodbye to friends and teachers and joy from others, delighted to be off!
Pupils celebrated with balloons, gifts and in some cases a piper seeing them away. Hope all children now on holiday from nurseries and schools have a wonderful summer.
