It’s been a well known, popular place to grab breakfast or lunch, but today, there’s sad news as “The Cafe” at Blantyre Industrial intends to close in March 2023.
Following a successful 5 years, the business, which has supported the community in many other ways, has announced on social media today that they will soon close in Blantyre, with a move to Hamilton planned.
A spokesperson for the Cafe, posted on their Facebook page, “It’s been an amazing time serving all our customers from The Cafe. Due to increasing prices , rent and bills in general it’s becoming too hard to keep everything running the way it’s going.”
“It’s not been an easy decision in the slightest!! There’s only so much you can offer when in a workman’s Industrial Estate.”
But, though the end of an era for Blantyre, the Cafe have announced plans for a move to new premises in Hamilton, promising new branding, name, menus and continuation of their great food in an exciting new location.
The business, when re-emerged will still offer a delivery service and takeaway and their staff will be joining them on their new adventures.

The Cafe will remain open at Blantyre Industrial Estate throughout January and February.
