Brand new signage on the Blantyre Care hub has gone up this week.
We mentioned a few weeks ago that South Lanarkshire Council’s Community Engagement Team had asked the community for their preferred name for the new Blantyre Care Hub. “Blantyre Life” was the winning choice and the development on the former St Joseph’s School site now has an official title.
This multi-million pound development will deliver a 20 bedded transitional care hub – with community facilities – and 20 new technology enabled properties, all equipped with state of the art telecare systems to support independent living. On the same site there is now also 25 new council homes creating new social housing at the centre of Blantyre.
