A pop up opera show is coming to Blantyre later this summer!
The Scottish Opera’s popular Pop-up Opera tour, includes short shows and will also cover Lanarkshire, stopping off at the David Livingstone Birthplace in Blantyre. The 30 minute shows for all the family, include A Little Bit of Die Fledermaus and A Little Bit of Eugene Onegin.
The event takes place at the David Livingstone Birthplace, at Station Road on Sunday, 4th June 2023, with performances at noon, 2.00pm and 4.00pm.
Scottish Opera’s Director of Outreach & Education, Jane Davidson, said: “This year, the Pop-up Opera company are coming off their trailer and back inside schools and community halls across the country, with a blend of weekday visits to primary schools and week-end performances in public venues.”
