UWS Cyber Attack

The University of the West of Scotland website is now back up and running after experiencing an “cyber incident” which affected a number of its digital systems.

Earlier this week, the University worked with experts from Police Scotland, the National Cyber Security Centre, and the Scottish government to restore the website service. For a time, it simply had an error message apologising for “inconvenience”.

Graduations planned this week were not affected.

The university has campuses in Paisley, Ayr, Dumfries and High Blantyre (pictured) as well as in London.
