A bright and colourful celebration took place yesterday in Blantyre.
You may have heard the drums and music on Sunday 13th August 2023 as the Syro Malabar Catholic Community took to the streets and the local church, as part of St Mary’s Mission, Scotland.
After a procession through Blantyre streets, the colourful, bright event consisting of many people of all ages congregated at Saint John Ogilvie Church on Broompark Road. They were joined by Father Martin, Fr Chromy and a number of parishioners on their feast day.
It was certainly a lovely spectacle.
