Remembering Jim Robinson (88)

We were saddened to hear of the passing last week of local man Jim Robinson.

Jim, of Cameron Crescent, Blantyre sadly slipped away peacefully at his home on 11th August after losing his battle with ill health. He was 88 and well known within the local community, including for his religious beliefs.

Jim was not only a dear father, papa and great granddad, but throughout his eventful long life had made many loyal friends. Speaking of this, his family told us, “If love could have saved him, he would have lived an eternity.” Truly a heartwarming sentiment.

We’re thinking of his 2 daughters (Janie and Aileen) and his son Stuart including their respective families at this sad time. Our sympathies go out to all of them including his grandkids and great grandkids.

Jim also had 3 other sons (Jim, Ian and Allan) who have since passed over the last 10 yrs.

The family would like to thank everybody who sent messages of kindness and sympathy. It was so thoughtful of people at this heartbreaking time and was sincerely appreciated. Funeral details will be released in due course.

Rest in Peace Jim. You will be missed by many.
