A heads up if you live in Blantyre, Hamilton, Bellshill, Coatbridge, Larkhall or Stonehouse today!
As part of a military show, the RAF Red Arrows will be flying overhead this afternoon…twice.
Representing the speed, agility and precision of the Royal Air Force, the aerobic team who fly state of the art precision jets are the public face of the service. They assist in recruiting to the Armed Forces, act as ambassadors for the United Kingdom at home and overseas and promote the best of British.
All being well and on time, we know the exact times of the spectacle. Flying just to the south of Hamilton at 5.14pm, today, Saturday 9th September 23. (If you live in Blantyre, that means looking over towards the Technology Park and Auchentibber).
The planes will roar past Hamilton, then up towards Bellshill and Coatbridge and onwards to Cumbernauld and Stirling, before U turning and coming back southwards on a similar route, meaning you SHOULD hear and see them twice between 5pm and 6pm.
Having seen the plans, parts of Hamilton, Ferniegair, Larkhall and Stonehouse should have the best vantage points being directly below the planned route.
