Three managers have been suspended in SGN’s Cambuslang offices, following their failure of a drugs test.
This followed the discovery of a small bag of cocaine in the men’s toilets, which resulted in every male office worker being tested. SGN launched a probe and called police.
Two team managers tested positive for cocaine, while a third tested positive for cannabis.
The trio were subsequently suspended from “safety critical duties, pending full disciplinary proceedings”. Police Scotland said the cocaine stash was seized and destroyed.
SGN, formerly Scotia Gas Networks, maintains the gas networks for Scotland and the south of England.
