Another very successful coffee morning took place on Friday 22nd September at Joseph Potts Glasgow Road Office. The coffee morning was a tremendous success where they managed to raise £550 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Joseph Potts told us, “We would like to say a special thank you to everyone who joined us and gave donations on Friday, including Carrigan’s Blantyre, Parkville Hotel Blantyre, The Westend Restaurant, Sweets by Savannah, Blantyre Telegraph and Scotland’s Florist.”
The credit for the whole day really comes down to the community in Blantyre. The local people attending and businesses donating raffle prizes and donations all for MacMillan Cancer Support really shows how caring the people of Blantyre are.
They continued, “A huge thank you to the ladies who helped for the whole day who are the real heroes. They baked all the cakes and ran the whole day with help from Helen (Joseph Pott’s arranger) and Charlie (one of the managers). Without them, I’m not sure the day would even be possible! “
Blantyre Telegraph was “off work” that morning, and knowing how much cancer touches so many families, we dropped by with a £50.00 cash donation, courtesy of our Simm Endeavour Funding.
Business leader Frazer McGown is pictured in this photo with all the ladies who made the day such a success.
