OK, it’s time! We’re calling this out. South Lanarkshire Council take heed.
This is the overgrown mess which is spilling into the carriageway at the Auchinraith Roundabout turning into Main Street, High Blantyre. The hedges and bushes being neglected since the pandemic, have now got to the point where they’ve grown 2 foot out into the road itself, significantly narrowing the road for drivers. Indeed, if it grows out anymore, the exit may soon be blocked!
This has got steadily worse over 2023 especially and seems to have been forgotten about. With lanes narrowed on the roundabout itself, it’s fast becoming a hazard.
Anybody else noticed this? Any other areas of greenery being neglected? We’ve phoned it in today and been promised somebody will be out to have a ‘look’ soon.
