The Frank Coll Foundation

Last Sunday a group of Blantyre children braved the treacherous weather to complete a sponsored walk.

As a group, they managed to raise a fantastic £360 for St Joseph’s Primary School. This money will be used to buy ASDA Vouchers and distributed to families who are struggling this Christmas.

Pauline Lennon told us, “As many of you know my Dad passed away a couple of years back. At the time, thanks to amazing generosity we raised money in his memory. We are so pleased to announce a new foundation has been established – the Frank Coll Foundation. It’s been a long road and we will announce more in the NY but the first donation is to match the money raised by the children – £360! That gives us a grand total of £720!”

“We’d like to thank all the children for taking part and raising crucial funds. We’d also like to thank JM Dance and The Village Bar who provided warm shelter at the end of the walk and even brought Santa to the party!”

Well done everybody! Here’s some photos of the event, posted with permissions.
