South Lanarkshire Council have now completed surfacing of the carriageway at the western entrance of Greenhall Park.
The short stretch of road leading off Stoneymeadow Road to the park entrance has been neglected for several decades with huge potholes. Earlier this week, a new level surface was laid, fixing the trip hazards. Local environmental group ‘Friends of the Calder’ had been asking to get this fixed on behalf of the community for some time.
More major carriageway surfacing works are taking place in busier Blantyre streets throughout February and into next month. For a full picture of all Blantyre Roadworks, please subscribe to our Supporters Group https://www.facebook.com/becomesupporter/blantyretelegraph/
