At a time when Blantyre’s library has a short stay of execution before closing in Summer, its as important as ever that children in this town have access to books.
So it’s wonderful to see our schools protecting and replenishing their own libraries, with books continuing to educate , entertain and encourage creativity and learning.
Pictured are some delighted children at High Blantyre Primary in their replenished library. We were thrilled to recently provide hundreds of brand new books for this library. It was a great reminder about how your Blantyre Telegraph Supporters subscriptions are helping matters which are really needed in this town. We also helped out with some new bean bags. Though subscriptions to our extra news group are small, they collectively adding up to make a difference in our communities.
